c) Particle comes to rest after a uniform deceleration from a certain initial velocity.

d) Particle accelerates uniformly.

e) Particle accelerates non uniformly.

f) Particle at first accelerates uniformly and then moved in constant velocity and then after a certain time, it decelerated uniformly and is now in rest.

In velocity time graphs,

  • Area under graphs = Magnitude of displacement.
  • Slope = \dfrac{\Delta y}{\Delta x} = acceleration.
  • Or tanθ = acceleratation.
  • Straight inclined line graph ⇒ uniform acceleration.
  • Straight vertical line (to the Y axis) = constant velocity.
