The condition that Helen , the ghost put on John Hallock was that she would help him in writing ghost stories but he will have to influence his friends and family to not use Ohija board as she along with other ghosts were getting very disturbed by the people who continuously used Ohija board to call them and make them answer their questions . Helen says that they have been called way too often from their beds and now if such a situation continuues they would go on a strike.
