Answer:

Indentured labour is a form of bonded labour. It is mostly practiced by British on its colonial people especially for the plantation works.

It is considered as a modern slavery where exploitation for economic benefits was the ultimate goal.

1. Poverty : The heavy land revenue burden and the suppression of artisans, famines, etc has created poverty, which made them to search for any livelihood option.

2. British Policies : Market policies, limited exports, flooded import of British goods made unfavourable situations for Indians to engage in business and trade inside the country.

3. Instability : Freedom movements, World wars, British suppressive measures, etc created panic in the life of the people which made them to migrate.
