  2. There should be interlocking of irregularities on the surface in contact.
  3. A force should act on one of the objects and tried to move.
  4. Still object should remain at rest relative to another surface on object in contact.

When we apply more force then body starts moving and immediately kinetic friction try to stop the body by applying force in opposite direction. In very general terms Static friction comes into play ( upto a certain limit after that kinetic friction takes over ) when a object at rest is moved relative to another surface.
