Elections are held in the democratic as well as non-democratic countries. The elections can be democratic when:
• Every citizen has the right to give one vote and all the votes have the same value.
• There should be choices of candidates standing from different political parties for the voters.
• Elections should be free and fair.
• Suitable candidates must be elected.
• The candidates should work for the people and they must be elected with major percentage of votes.

The most important thing for an election to be considered democratic is that - one person, one vote, one value and the people should be allowed to make real choice
