Even though there have been many postulations that indicate possibilities of life support systems on Mars, there are evidences that state that life is not possible in Mars.
There is no magnetic field in case of Mars as it can be found in earth.
Again, earth's surface serves as an excellent shield to move away all unwanted particles from entering into the earth's surface. However no such system is available on Mars.
There is even a very short amount of air on Mars.
Water content is even too less and it cant protect harmful radiations from entering into its surface, as earth does.
So missions have been made to overcome these factors.
