The following conditions that make life possible on Earth are found missing on Mars:

  • There is no magnetic field in the case of Mars as it can be found on earth.
  • Again, the earth's surface serves as an excellent shield to move away from all unwanted particles from entering into the earth's surface. However, no such system is available on Mars.
  • There is not even a very short amount of air on Mars.
  • Water content is even too less and it can’t protect harmful radiations from entering into its surface, as the earth does.

Even though there have been many postulations that indicate possibilities of life support systems on Mars, there is evidence that states that life is not possible on Mars. So missions have been made to overcome these factors.
