Answer:

The flow of charges (+ve or -ve) constitutes the electricity. When there's the potential difference(difference in electric pressure at both the terminals) then the electrons move towards the positive terminal, which creates a flow of electricity through the circuit.

Answer:

Electricity constitutes (-ve) charges that travel from Higher Potential (+ve terminal) to Lower Potential (-ve terminal).

Electrons that are emitted from the battery that is negative terminal (-ve part), constitutes the electricity.

• The following are the processes of flow of electricity :-

➡ We know that for flowing of electricity there is a need of potential difference.

➡ Due to the potential difference from Higher Potential (+ve terminal) to Lower Potential (-ve terminal), the potential difference in the circuit.

➡ When electrons are released from the positive side of the battery they get in contact of conducting wire.

➡ Conducting wire is made up of atoms. The atoms of this element carry charges. The outer most orbit of atom has loose electrons packed in it. As conductors are made up of metals whose outer shell is loosely packed

➡ The charge of the initial electron from the battery is transported to the electrons of the atom of the conducting wire.

➡ The atom of conducting wire carries this charge through its electrons.

➡ When this atom gets in contact with the atoms of its similar kind in the wire, it again transfers the charge.

➡ In this way, they charge is carried through the circuit with the help of Potential Difference.

➡ When these charge from positive reach to negative terminal, they get in it as through they circuit they become neutral.

➡ From this negative terminal, they again get negative charge and flows towards the positive terminal in the battery.

➡ And after they reach positive terminal, they again start travelling through the circuit . And this process continues till the battery looses its potential difference or the source of electricity looses its potential difference.

➡ This negative charge, never gets destroyed as negative charge is electron and by Law of Conservative of Mass we know that 'Matter can never be created nor be destroyed'. And electron is also matter.

➡ The continuous flow of charge is maintained by potential difference and is known as Electricity.

"That is why we pay Electrical House not for providing charge but for making charge flow through our house circuit due to potential difference".
