What controls the drainage system of India?

drainage features of india are mainly controlled by the broad relief features of the sub continent like land and precipitation . according to this the drainage system is further divided into himalayan and peninsular river system

under himalayn river system there are three river systems

ganga , Brahmaputra and indus

and under peninsular river systems

it includes the rivers like narmada ,tapi , godavari, krishna etc
