In the absence of root hairs plant will die.

  • Root hairs act like a sponge and they absorb nutrients and water from the soil which is necessary for the growth of the plant.
  • The number of root hairs increases the absorption of water and nutrients from the soil.
  • If roots hairs are absent then the plant will not be able to get the water and nutrients which are necessary ultimately it will die.
