There are a lot of children who don't have a chance of going to school.
Having taught three, who hadn't formerly been to school, I found they were very “street smart.”
They had learned how to lie, how to cheat and how to steal. They were pretty good at these things!
One trick was to offer to “mind your car” when you parked it at a shop.
If you gave them some money to do so then you came back and your car was OK.
If not the wheel hubs might be missing, or worse.
Exclude children from education and they learn how to survive in another world.
It was a great part of my own education.
