I think there are some advantages and some disadvantages to it as in my opinion everything that's happening to you is affected by history in a great way.

Disadvantages include:

we generate electricity, we build buildings , we make smartphones, from the knowledge that we gain from people in the past.

so if there were no records of it , then every time we will have to do the same research again and again for just 1 simple thing.

Advantages include:

the cast system that exists is also a matter of past events. Thus we, can be even saved from such evil customs too in the absence of history.
