It belonged to my grandfather. It was large and set in a large compound, the land sloping to
the south. The road occupied the higher end of the slope and it was a few feet lower than the
road. I remember a few croton plants between the gate and the steps leading to it.
A verandah led to the front door and there were two rooms on either side. It had a large
open yard in the middle connecting the front part with the back.​
