The frog's determination to sing could not be stilled by anyone till the time the nightingale arrived. The frog croaked in his loud and unpleasant voice all day long and nothing could stop him. He was used to insults and complaints, bricks and sticks, but nothing could stop him from singing and ruling over Bingle Bog. However, things changed when the nightingale arrived and apparently started ruling over Bingle Bog by singing melodious songs and attracting audience from all over the place.
