Hacking does not mean some other streams like medical or engineering or basic sciences etc. Hacking is passion. And passion requires only passionate treatment. I am a medical student in 2nd year now and so I think I would be able to clear all your doubts. I have dreamt of becoming a Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH) from my 7th standards. Since then 7 years have passed and my dream is still so much vivid and I am always trying to make it successful. In 11th I had science stream as I opted for medical sciences. But that is not mandatory to become a CEH, you may be from any stream you like that doesn’t matter, because in the world of hacking you cannot expect yourself to learn something for some years, mug up all those and set foot in the field. It doesn’t work like that. Hacking is complete passion. It takes a lot of time because you have to know everything from the basic level. You may download apps, use some codes made by someone and act like script kiddies but that doesn’t make you a hacker. Hacker is a very very gravid and voluminous term and in practical life it is still more dense. I will try to touch up some point that you need to emphasize on right now and be clear about.
You have to learn networking from the basic level. Go for CCNA at least. Without networking you are no one.
You need to know Database Management System. This thing is the formation ground of server system, websites, blogs, and the most targeted cyberspaces. So you need to have a very clear cut idea regarding DBMS. Go for PHP, MySQL, or whatever you like.
Basic programming is always a concern and I have seen many people including me ask, ‘ Do i need to know a lot of programming to become a hacker?’ The answer is, you need to know standard level of programming because that is the language that the PC understands, the network understands. Nothing will help when you are entangled in a mesh-work of someone else’s code. So learn C, C++, Python whichever you like.
Learn to be smarter. Be witful. Be enthusiastic and be intelligent. Hacking is an art. Be an artist. Be a Picasso or Michelangelo in hacking.
Now about me! I have just completed a basic course on Ethical Hacking and Penetration Testing and am now currently studying Computer Forensics after which I will deal with a great deal of programming languages.
