Answer:

HI MATE !

QUESTION :- ⬇️

What are the punishments for committing a crime in prison?

ANSWER :- ⬇️

  • More prison.
  • And tougher restrictions.

This is how it works in France, and I guess it is similar elsewhere:

  • The wrongdoings' list is longer in prison than outside; disciplinary sanctions are added.

  • But I assume you were talking of the regular crimes.

  • Anything illegal will be prosecuted the same way as outside.

  • Suppose you commit murder in jail, you'll be going through the whole instruction and trial process, if deemed guilty; you will be sentenced and that sentence added to your actual one.

  • I am no lawyer but I believe the second sentence cannot be run simultaneously in this case, as obviously it is not related to the file that brought you in in the first place.

  • The disciplinary sanctions, are an internal extra; they are aimed at maintaining order in a universe filled with mavericks.

  • To own a cellphone for instance, may add a few months to your sentence, but most surely it will cost you a stay in Disciplinary quarters, changing to a crowded cell if you were blessed with a 1 or 2 beds cell, and removal of your previously obtained graces, up to 3months/year in France, provided:

- you pay your debts ( to the victim ) ;

- you behave, of course ;

- you have a job or succeed in studies ;

- you show obvious signs of reinsertion ( maintain family ties, participate in cultural events or administrative councils )

Hope my answer helps you Dear.. ✌️
