He kicks out his brother, Prospero, and sends him with his daughter in a small boat to find somewhere else to live. Antonio was motivated because of his hunger for power. Also he thought that he was the duke instead of Prospero because they had switched places and he was carrying out the royal duties.He is responsible for getting rid of the king and his daughter. I understand that he was taking on all the responsibility and Prospero was getting credit, but that does not mean he should of done that to Prospero and Miranda.
