wavewalker was badly damaged by the gigantic wave. the starboard side of the boat was bashed open as a result the water was getting into the into the boat threateningly. the impact of the wave was so severe that nearly all the boats main rib frames were smashed down to the keel. if they would not find an island soon the boat was sure to disintegrate .
