what decision has been taken by the hangman regarding the execution? How does he justify it?​

He thinks that it is immoral to hang a person. Even though he takes up the job of a hangman, he considers that hanging is killing a person in cold blood. But hanging has got legal sanctions. Therefore, he refuses to do the hanging.
