Noise can be pleasant as well as harmful. We, humans, can listen from 20Hz to 20,000Hz. Thus is the frequency. The loudness of sound is measured in decibels. The higher the decibel, the more harmful it is. Although 60 decibel is the loudness of normal talking, sounds higher than 80 dB( decibels) is harmful for the ear when heared over long periods of time. This can cause temporary or even permanent dearness.
