The incident of his demise proved to be an eye opener for Abel Merryweather,he understood that none of his daughters had feelings of love and affection towards him,so he decided to alter his will....he said that he would leave all his belongings with whom he will be living at the time of his death and also declared that he will be living with mrs. shorrocks after this.
