Anne saw Hanneli in her dreams while she was in hiding and imagined her in worn out clothes and felt that she was suffering in the concentration camps exactly like the other jews and she even imagined Hanneli calling her as a traitor who cheated her when she needed her the most .
but Anne always felt her as her best friend .
