He have played trees,and after the first war he had seen the kingdom completely blooded so he don't want to see this situation once again and gave up the second war.

After the war of Kalinga, he organised a society called the Dhamma where he wrote the rules inscribed in trees and rocks for the people of his empire. Also he hired officials to read the inscribed rules for the people who don’t know how to read. He also told them he wont do wars anymore
