On their quest to take Laufey's ashes to the highest peak of the Nördic realm, the düo (father and son) had to encounter many hurdles. Overcoming it all, they finally reached their destination and after they spreaded her ashes, Atreus asked his father why he was referred to as "Loki."

Kràtos explained that înitially they wanted to name him as "Loki" but sèttled with Atreus to honoùr a great Spartan warrior who, unlike most Spartàns, was hàppy and filled with lîfe. He continued that during and after battles, that person would fîll his fellow Spartâns with hope. This was the reason they named him as Atreus because he filled them with joy.
