Mother of Ibrahim Lodi, Dilawar Begum, had planned to murder Babur. With the help of the Hindustani, the Royal food taster, she managed to smuggle poison in the meal of Babur which contained fried hare, carrots and bread.
Babur became violently sick due to food poison but survived and after taking few swift acts of retribution, wrote to his family who were anxiously waiting in Kabul that he is fine to see another day. He got his life to found a great empire.
