After attaining the stage of Nirvana under the bodhi tree, the Buddha remained in the same place for a few more weeks contemplating upon the Truths he just realized and then left for the world he renounced a few years ago to preach the Truths he just realized. It is difficult for a liberated being who is free from desires and motivation to return to the world and become involved with people and their ways. Buddha was guided in this decision by his compassion for the suffering of the world. It may be remembered that he began his quest to find an answer to the problem of suffering and having found it, it became imperative for him to teach it to others and rescue them from the cycle of births and deaths.

Hope this helps you...

Explanation:

After the Buddha was Enlightened he hesitated about teaching others the Truth of Suffering that he had realized. He thought that this truth was so profound and radical, people wouldn't believe or listen to him. ... Hearing the Buddha's teachings they became enlightened and the first followers of the Buddha.
