Carter tried removing the mummy which was stuck to the bottom of the gold coffin because of the hard resins. He tried hearing the mummy to loosen the resins, but it didn't work. Atlast, he chiseled out and ripped him apart to find the gold.

However, the archeological research done by Howard Carter in 1922, a British archaeologist, was not based on finding about the life of the Pharoah, it was just to find the gold and treasures. His investigation was resented.
