The correct option is 1) hardwork

The contractor had worked hard for his SSC exam.

This sentence is extracted from the chapter " The treassure within ".

Hafeez contracter had passed all his school exams by cheating or any other unfair practice.

He used to try very hard just to get his hands on test papers before exams so he could pass his exams.

Or he used to cheat in the given exams, by either of the way used to pass all the exams by illegal or unfair method.

Later his principal advised him not to do that anymore and to change his mind or thoughts about the education and made him realise how hard his mother was trying to build his future for him.

But at the time his SSC level his principal was not able to support him anymore and he got very serious about the exams and worked really hard and had passed his 11 and 12 exams with his own efforts.
