What did einstein said to history teacher that annoyed him. describe his reaction?

The History teacher asked Einstein a question which required him to refer to a historical date. However, Einstein answered that he didn't see any point in learning dates because one could always look them up. This led to a rough conversation between Mr. Braun and Einstein and the former punished him by asking to stay for extra class....  His reaction is E = mc^2
