Gopal decided to leave home for Agra, as being a stone mason dissatisfied him and did not earn him much money. Therefore, he decided to go to Agra to produce goods that will be easier and which will earn him more money and end his family's poverty. Gopal was wrong in his decision to go to Agra as his father expected his son to carry forward his traditional craft of sculpting statues, but Gopal had angrily made the decision to go to Agra anyway without thinking of his father's desire to continue the hundred year tradition of sculpting statues for a living.
