If i told you that the enemy was on the otherside of the hill will you believe me? They replied with yes oh truthful Muhammad. Then our Prophet said that no kith or kin has ever brought you a gift as valuable as this, i am a prophet of God and whoever stands to aid me in my mission will be my succesor, inheritor and brother. No one stood up apart from Ali who was about ten years old then. The prophet asked him to sit down and repeated his dialougue thrice. Still no one stood up but Ali. The prophet raised his arm and said; Ali is my brother and succesor. You should all obey him. Hearing this the members of Quraysh got up and left mocking the prophet and telling Alis father jokingly that his own son has become his master.
