In the transition from romantic to actual,Helen had learned many things that she could not have possibly known without this experiment. She acquired the knowledge of patience which teaches us that we should take out education as we may take a walk in the country, with an open mind welcoming impressions of every kind. This kind of hospitality towards knowledge leads to the deepening of thought. Human beings have been blessed with the faculty of thought which spurs them on to seek knowledge, in order to complement their lived experiences and add to their understanding of the self and the world. Knowledge is love because one can use their knowledge to understand the plight of their fellow human beings and strive towards helping them. Knowledge forces us to look beyond our immediate concerns and think of others. Knowledge is light because it opens up new vistas, gives us opportunities which when used can widen the ambit of our understanding of the world. Knowledge is vision because it imparts awareness in us,of our relation to the world around us and our role and responsibility towards it. It is upon us to use our knowledge, only we can decide whether to use our knowledge as a weapon to cause harm or use it positively to help others.
