What did kalam's father tell him about the relevance of prayers?
APJ Abdul Kalam describes in his autobiography Wings of Fire' that when he asked his father about the relevance of prayer, his father gave a very meaningful answer. Dr. Kalam's father told us that prayers help us to rise above our bodies and become a part of the universe. Prayers are beyond the body which takes the waves of our mind to the universe. It does not divide on the basis of religion, caste, creed, age, etc. Prayers help us overcome the narrowness of mind, and isolationist tendencies and control negative emotions like anger and hatred. Kalam's father told that there is a special element in every human being in the form of divine power which emerges through prayer. That's why a man should not be afraid of suffering and problems.
