Answer:

Explanation:

Kondiba Gaikwad was a blind beggar who used to beg on the streets of Mumbai to make a living. He lived in “Golibar” which was a slum colony in Ghatkopar located in the  north-east part of Mumbai.

One day while having his meal he heard people screaming in desperation to rescue a child from getting drowned in the well. He went hurriedly to the spot and got inside the well to rescue the boy.

He initially stayed on the surface of the water and then took a deep breath and went inside the well. When he reached the bottom of the well he could only feel the slippery weeds and mud.

He struggled to find any trace of the boy and soon started to get exhausted and ran out of breath.  To regain some breath he came out to the surface, took a deep breath and dived again in search of the boy.

It was during his struggle of not been able to trace the boy, he for the first time missed his vision and felt helpless. He thought if only he had vision he could have saved the drowning boy.

Hope this helps.
