Lencho had tremendous faith in God and he also believed that God could see everything and would help him out in the long run. ... He expected God to solve his problems. The postmaster who read the letter was deeply moved and decided to help Lencho and urged his colleagues to help Lencho by contributing money. Hope it helps!

Lencho wrote a letter to god expecting 100 pesos to feed his family and himself until there was new crop after the hailstorm. He only recieved 70 pesos after the post officer read his letter and collected money for him and to to not waver his faith in god. Lencho was not happy and called the people in the post office crooks.
