Lencho did not want the money to be sent through mail because he thought that the Post office employees were a bunch of crooks.

As Lencho on his demand received seventy pesos instead of hundred pesos he thought that the employees of the post office had kept the rest of the thirty pesos. So he requested God to not send him money by post. In simple terms, when the employees of the post office arranged the amount to help Lencho they could only send him seventy pesos instead of his demand of hundred pesos. This lack of money led Lencho to think that the employees of the post office have stolen his money. Thus, he requested God to do not send money by post.
