Maddie and Peggy wrote the letter with the intention to apologize but ended up writing a friendly letter instead.
If Wanda had received the letter is unknown, but when Wanda’s letter to the home room teacher read that Maddie and Peggy could keep the drawing of the dresses, Maddie ASSUMES that the letter had reached her.
Even though Peggy had forgotten about the letter, Maddie still thought of it and felt guilty. She even promised herself that she will stand up against a bully in the future(even if it meant losing Peggy’s friendship).She used to go to sleep dreaming of saving Wanda from bullying.
