Maddie had been exceedingly hurt after Wanda had left the school; Wanda’s winning the drawing contest further made her feel bad;  she also felt regretful for taking side with Peggy in making fun of Wanda. She had resolved never to make fun of others. She and Peggy had tried to make amends for their bad behavior and gone to Wanda’s house to feel sorry.

However, Wanda’s letter had done much good. She had also mentioned that the green dress drawing was gift for Peggy; and blue dress drawing for Madeline.

On reaching home she saw the dress carefully, she found Wanda had drawn her face on the dress that looked so much like her face. She ran to Peggy’s house to tell her Wanda had drawn her in the green dress.
