Yotirao Govindrao Phule (11 April 1827 – 28 November 1890), also known as Jotiba Phule was an Indian social activist, thinker, anti-caste social reformer and writer from Maharashtra. His work extended to many fields including eradication of untouchability and the caste system, and women's emancipation.

mahatma phule was the great man of those time..they was a teacher of that time ..the savitri bai phule was a wife of them..according to mahatma phule every women go to school for education is their point of view they 1st start to teach the wife of him savitri bai phule ...and they get together faces the whole problems toward the society ..society never support them for their work ...bt they always encourage the girls nd women towards education ...they satrted the 1st school in pune .after the long time ago they succeeded in their work and know the womens and girls are able to go schools ...
