R.D. Banerji, working with the Archaeological Survey of India, discovered several remains of the Indus Valley Civilization. He discovered a polished stone seal at Mohenjo-Daro that resembled a similar seal found at Harappa. The two locations were many miles apart, indicating the Indus Valley Civilization was widespread. Additionally, Banerji discovered a Stupa, a type of building, and a flint scraper which allowed him to date the civilization to around 2500 BCE.
