The story takes the form of a fable and it concerns a man who lives with his family which includes only his wife. When the winter arrives he used up all his firewood in the first month as his oven was malfunctioned and need repairing but he was not ready to understand this fact. He thinks, all his neighbors are jealous because of his big oven. The man after burning all the firewoods and fences now starts tearing his ceiling down for fuel. His neighbors warn him and suggest to rebuild the oven. Because the winter was still there but being arrogant he ignored their suggestions and in the end, he used up all his house for burning and left with only that big oven and have to go and live up with strangers.
