Monotheistic movement was different from vaishnava bhakti in the following form:

a.Vaishnava bhakti believed in teachings of Lord Vishnu, and respected the teachings of Vitthala, while Monothestic movement talked of complete submission to one God and also union with him to attain complete peace and harmony

b. Vaishnava bhakti stressed on idol worship unlike monotheistic movement that rejected idol worship and elaborate rituals.
