What did the narrator want to make with Harris and George ?

George and the narrator wanted to take rest. They were too swayed away by the doldrums of their regular life and hence George, Harris and the narrator went on a boat ride.Also George's doctor prescribed him to take in fresh air to improve his health conditions.
