What did the two roads stands for in the poem road not taken

The two roads are opportunity or you can say the two career in which he has to take only one
.. Like it happens with u in after class 10 we get the two or more opportunity like pcm or PCB, upsc etc.... Same thing happend with robert frost he wants to go on both but he has to take on so he take second one which make him very popular....

two roads were like the options or opportunities for the author .  and initially the author wanted to walk on both the roads but unfortunately he couldn't do so. so he took the second road, which was a difficult one and was less travelled which later made him successful . also he left the first road for some other day to walk upon.
