What difference in behaviour between glass and sodium chloride

Answer:

glass is an amorphous solid. as it is an amorphous solid it would breakk irregularly. it has an irregular shape as it is n't arrangted in orderd pattern. but in case of sodium chloride it would break off along flatsurface with a regular pattern as its a crystalline solid.
