Given What difference will be felt by a listener when hearing sounds of wavelength 1.5 m and 3 m.

Here velocity is constant. We know that V = nλ or velocity = frequency x wavelength. There is a difference in frequency of the sound for two different wavelengths. When wavelength changes, the corresponding frequency also changes. In case of lower frequency the sound is feeble.

The wavelengths of the sounds are 1.5 m and 3 m. Here the velocity is constant.

We know, Velocity (V) of sound = Frequency (F) multiplied by wavelength (L) or v = f X l.

As the frequency of the two sounds is different as they are of two wavelengths the sound heard by the man would differ, and one would be feeble, and others would be strong.
