What differences do you find between the life
style of people living on high altitudes and low
altitudes?
Answers
Answer:
Most of the people that live at high altitudes have very low risk of becoming overweight or obese whereas the people living at low altitudes have very much risk of becoming overweight and obese. This is just because of their eating habits. At the low altitudes, the level of oxygen is normal but the high altitudes have low levels of oxygen, that suppress hunger by secreting leptin - a hormone that makes people feel full. That's why the people living at the high altitudes are not obese.
2) The people living at high altitudes may have altitude sickness. The symptoms include fatigue, nausea, headache, vomiting, dizziness, insomnia, water retention, high blood pressure etc while people living at low altitudes do not have altitude sickness instead they have health problems like hypertension, diabetes, thyroid and other diseases just because of their hectic schedule and luxurious life style.
