Papyrus is an ancient material which was used to write on by the Egyptians.

Other than manual labour and some equipment, there is not as such material required other than the plant itself, the Papyrus plant.

The inside of the triangular stalk was cut or peeled into long strips. then they would be laid down in two layer, horizontal and vertical and then pressed together.

No Gue was required as the natural glue of the plant would keep it toether.

Then it would be joined from end-to-end to form a roll.

The roll could be about one foot in height and could be up to 100 feet in length.
