Women in villages who use firewood or dried cow dung cakes for cooking and other heating purposes, are exposed to tiny Particulate Matters (PM) and Carbon Monoxide gas (CO), along with a host of other gases.

These tiny particles contained in smoke, along with the gaseous mixture given out by wood or cow dung smoke, is a dangerous pollutant and can lead to many diseases of the human respiratory tract. It mostly affects the rural women, as they are more exposed to burning firewood.
