The poet undergo a dilemma between his nature of hospitality and the voice of education .

the dilemma does the poet undergo in snake  is that--

1. At first he treat the snake as a guest then the poet wait for his turn near the water trough to drink the water.

2.He blame his voices if his education that snakes are dangerous they must be kill , so he picks up the log and the throws it on the snake however it does not hit the snake.

3.After some time he regret for his impulsive action and compares it to the ancient mariner like how did he kill the albatros .

4.Then he wants the snake to come back so that he crown it like a king or queen .
